Effective September 16, 2026 · Last updated September 16, 2026
This page lists the cookies, pixels, scripts, and local storage set on www.inspectpoint.com and pages.inspectpoint.com, by us and by the third parties we load, as measured on September 15, 2026. It is the same list as section 4 of our privacy policy, which explains what the data is used for, who receives it, and your rights. We update both when we add or remove a vendor.
| Vendor | What it is for | Cookies and storage it sets | How your consent affects it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Termly | Consent manager. Shows the banner, records your choices, and blocks the vendors marked "advertising" or "analytics" below when you decline. Its preference center also loads Termly's own translation and font resources. | Consent state in its own storage | Always runs |
| Our hosting provider | Serves the site. Its built-in analytics count page views and measure load times without cookies, using a daily-changing hash of IP address and browser. | None | Always runs; no cookies |
| Inspect Point (first party) | Site function: your consent, dismissed notices, recently viewed pages for the resources hub, campaign parameters from the link you arrived on, and form refill after an error. | ipv and ipSurveyNotice (local storage, kept until you clear your browser); utm_params and gclid (local storage, 90 days) | Always runs; recently viewed pages only with analytics consent |
| Google Tag Manager | Loads the tags below according to your consent. | None | Always runs |
| Google Analytics 4 | Site analytics: pages, sessions, traffic sources, events such as a demo request. Events are also routed through a server-side tag container we operate, which forwards conversion events to Meta (see the Meta row). | _ga (400 days), _ga_K246HR866Q (400 days) | Analytics. If you decline or send Global Privacy Control, Google's tags still load but run in cookieless mode: no cookies are set and no identifiers are stored. |
| Salesforce Account Engagement (Pardot) | Connects your visits to your record once you have filled out a form or clicked a link in one of our emails. | May set visitor_id603671 and related cookies on pardot.com for identified visitors | Analytics |
| Google Ads | Measures conversions from Google ads and builds remarketing audiences. | _gcl_au (90 days), _gcl_ls (local storage); IDE on doubleclick.net (400 days) | Advertising. As with Analytics, declining leaves cookieless consent pings to Google but no cookies or identifiers. |
| Measures conversions from LinkedIn ads and builds audiences. | li_sugr (90 days), bcookie and bscookie (365 days), lidc (1 day), UserMatchHistory and AnalyticsSyncHistory (30 days), __cf_bm (session); li_adsId (local storage) | Advertising | |
| Microsoft Advertising | Measures conversions from Bing ads and builds audiences. | _uetsid (1 day), _uetvid (390 days), also mirrored in local storage; MUID (390 days) and MR (7 days) on bing.com | Advertising |
| OpenAI | Measures conversions from ads shown in ChatGPT. | __obref (365 days); __cf_bm and _cfuvid on openai.com | Advertising |
| Hyros | Ad attribution and identity resolution (section 3.3). | __mh_tt_s and __mh_tt_l_gen on hyros.com and hyr.so (400 days) | Advertising |
| Capterra | Tells Capterra when a visitor who came from its listing requests a demo. Loads on the demo thank-you page only. | Vendor pixel | Advertising |
| YouTube | Video player on pages that embed a video, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (no cookies until you press play). | Set by YouTube when you play a video | Not gated by our consent manager. On customer story pages the player frame is not loaded until you press play; on article and podcast pages it loads with the page. |
| Wistia | Video player for some customer stories. Not loaded until you press play. When you play, Wistia stores a visitor key and your playback position in your browser's local storage (no cookies) and receives playback events such as play and seconds watched. We set the player's do-not-track option, which turns off Wistia's viewer analytics and video-quality telemetry. The player also loads Sentry error reporting. | Set by Wistia when you play a video | Not gated by our consent manager. Nothing is requested from Wistia until you press play. |
| Simplecast | Audio player on podcast episode pages. | Set by Simplecast when a player loads | Not gated by our consent manager. Loads when you open an episode page. |
| SurveyMonkey | Embedded survey on the survey page. | Set by SurveyMonkey | Loads on the survey page |
How consent works here. If you visit from the United States, the advertising and analytics trackers above are active when the page loads. Visitors from California and other states with consumer privacy laws see a banner with a Decline button and can change their choice any time through Cookie Preferences in the footer of every page. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Canada are asked before non-essential trackers load. Visitors from other U.S. states see no banner today, and the footer links do not open the preference center there; the opt-outs that work everywhere are Global Privacy Control and email (section 7). If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal on www.inspectpoint.com or pages.inspectpoint.com, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising and analytics trackers and of "sharing" under state privacy laws: no advertising vendor loads and no cookies are set. The signal applies to your browser. If you also want it applied to the record we hold for you, email us (section 12). Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal; there is no agreed standard for what it means, so we do not respond to it.
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser; local storage is a similar store without an expiry unless one is given; pixels are tiny images or scripts that tell a vendor a page or event happened. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential ones may stop parts of the site working. Browser help: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
